What is the PMT Exam?

PMT is a national standard for pre-treatment screening conducted annually by one of the most popular boards; Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi.

Currently, it has been replaced by the NEET-UG Entrance Exam by the National Test Agency. The AIPMT (now NEET) entry test was scheduled for admission to BDS and MBBS courses offered at various medical colleges across the country.

All India Pre Medical Test / AIPMT or PMT has provided 15% of full student seats at all medical / dental colleges / institutions, owned by the State Government, Indian Union, Municipality or other Local Authorities in India (other than – Andhra Pradesh , J&K and Telangana).

In February, AIPMT notice (now NEET) will be issued. Every year millions of students try these tests, but very few will be selected.

Eligibility Criteria for PMT Exam

Before applying for the AIMPT exam, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria. They need to complete them and then pass the AIMPT exam. The main need for AIMPT is as follows:

Qualifications for PMT Exam

  • Students must have completed their 10 + 2 at any recognized university.
  • Students who qualify for examinations and qualify for examinations also qualify for the AIMPT (now NEET) application.
  • Those wishing to emerge at the graduation level and B.Sc graduates are also eligible to apply for AIMPT (now NEET).
  • Students from the last year of graduation may apply for this examination.

Subjects Requirement For PMT Exam

Minimum marks:

  • The applicant must secure at least 50% marks in Physics, Biology / Biotechnology and Chemistry.
  • SC / ST / OBC – Students with this category must secure 50% marks in their HSC to apply for entrance exams.

Age Limit For PMT Exam

  • Applicants who want to apply for AIMPT must be over 15 years old.
  • At SC / ST / OBC – candidates must be under the age of 23, which means that at the age of 28, candidates can apply for the exam (5% off).
  • For people who wish to have a physical challenge – up to 30 years.

Nationality:

A person with the following citizenship can apply for the AIPMT test:

  • Indigenous people
  • Non-Indigenous Indian Candidates
  • Indigenous Peoples
  • Overseas Indians

How to prepare for the AIMPT entry test:

Prior to passing the entrance test, baptism candidates must prepare well. By following a few steps you will find the best way to prepare for the AIMPT entry test:

  1. Firstly, candidates for the exam should be familiar with the examination curriculum which covers topics and subjects.
  2. Almost all students prefer to cover difficult topics first. If you want to unravel the whole syllable in a short time then quickly combine simple topics.
  3. You are advised to turn to last year’s exam question papers.
  4. Fake testing during the required time.
  5. Students should clarify their basic concepts in 11th and 12th of them
  6. During the test, the student needs to eat healthy foods and vegetables, get enough rest and sleep.

  9. Collect reading materials and reference books for authorized publications.

AIMPT (now NEET) Test pattern

In order to better prepare for the exams, students should choose a test pattern first. The AIMPT test pattern is listed below:

  • Test Method – Previously, AIMPT was run in computer test mode but now AIMPT (now NEET) is organized offline (pen and paper mode).
  • Attempt Number – Students will receive a total of three attempts at this examination. All attempts will be counted.
  • Complete questions – 180 questions will be asked in the AIMPT exam.
  • Types of Questions – It is a paper based on MCQs (Multiple Types of Questions).
  • Test Time – Students will receive a total of 3 hours to try out all the questions.
  • Languages ​​- The AIMPT (now NEET) questionnaire will be available in ten different languages ​​including English, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Assamese, Oriya, Kannada, Telugu, Gujarati, and Marathi.
  • Marking Program – Students will be awarded 4 marks for each correct answer.
  • Wrong Marking – In the event that each answer is incorrect, 1 mark will be removed.

Previously, testing was done in two phases: First and Mains

  • Initial Test – 200 Objective Type Questions, 3 hours
  • Critical Assessment – 120 Purpose Type Questions, 3 hours
  • Marking system – 4 marks for each correct answer
  • Wrong Marking – 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer

Distribution Score Initial Examination:

  • Physics – 45 Min Length, Questions 50, 200 Marks
  • Chemistry – 45 Min Length, Questions 50, 200 Marks
  • Botany – 45 Min Length, Questions 50, 200 Marks
  • Zoology – 45 Min Length, Questions 50, 200 Marks

Distribution of Primary Test Scores:

  • Physics – 45 Min Length, Questions 30, 120 Marks
  • Chemistry – 45 Min Duration, 30 Questions, 120 Marks
  • Botany – 45 Min Length, Questions 30, 120 Marks
  • Zoology – 45 Min Length, Questions 30, 120 Marks

Syllabus For AIMPMT Exam

The AIMPT syllabus is based on a recommendation from the Indian Medical Council or MCI. MCI checks syllables 11 and 12 for different regional boards (CBSE, RBSE etc.) and prepares a prospectus for clinical trials.

AIMPT Admit Card

Prior to the test date, candidates must collect their consent cards. Applicants must carry a consent card to the testing center (of your choice).

All students are only allowed to sign in with an admission card. The following information must be entered correctly on the consent card: Father’s Name, Consent Card Details, Gender, Category, Applicant Name, Application Number, Date and Time, Examination Center Address, DOC and Registration Number.

AIMPT Result

Students can view the university’s official website online. Every year the medical institutions / universities announce the result and list the eligibility criteria on their official website in June.

The reader can take a printout of the result and a list of eligibility for future purposes. Official list of candidates should be prepared by senior or resulting authorities.

AIMPT Counseling Process

In order to appear on the list of candidates, candidates must pay the required fees. At the time of registration, the candidate should choose a subject according to his or her interests.

After the result is announced, the counseling process will continue. It runs in online mode, divided into two rounds – Group Chat and Personal Interview Cycle.

AIMPT application fee
